TSEK preparation: define the product scope and criterion before evidence

QRS can help prepare TSEK product and manufacturing evidence. TSE confirms the programme basis and decides certification; component results do not automatically cover a finished assembly.

Discuss your scope

What product is the application actually about?

Describe the finished product and intended use, its variants, production locations and relevant manufacturing operations. Ask TSE to confirm the appropriate programme and accepted criterion reference/version. TSEK uses an accepted criterion basis distinct from the TSE route to an applicable Turkish standard; missing a supplier’s standard sheet does not alone settle programme eligibility.

Agree a scope statement that can be compared with drawings, material specifications, sample descriptions and production records. Distinguish the item being sold from the parts it contains. The assessment and evidence must answer the accepted requirements for that actual scope, rather than a technical folder assembled from unrelated product certificates.

A component report may not answer the assembly requirement

Conditional example: the proposed application concerns a finished assembly, but the available report evaluates only a supplied component. Identify precisely what was tested, under which criterion or method, and which assembly requirement is still unproven. Do not add the assembly name to the report or assume that a favourable component result proves all interactions in the finished product.

Ask TSE which existing evidence is relevant and what further product or manufacturing evidence is needed. Keep the real component report linked to its sample and configuration; record the remaining assembly gaps. Samples, tests and production assessment depend on the accepted programme, so a preparation offer cannot promise that one component report eliminates all further work.

Preparation outputs and the certification decision are separate

QRS can organise a scope/evidence comparison, identify missing records and coordinate agreed preparation. The applicant provides truthful technical information and implements manufacturing controls; the laboratory owns its actual work and report. TSE decides whether the programme requirements are met and whether certification and the corresponding permission to use the TSEK mark can be granted.

Before describing the assembly as certified, read the actual issued scope, document status and applicable mark conditions. An application receipt, preparation contract or QRS review is not an issued TSEK certificate. Keep any separate product-law or destination-market obligations visible, and set quotations and schedules from real evidence gaps rather than a guaranteed result or fixed date.
