Lift CE: define the installed-lift assessment request

Discuss your scopeIdentify installer, site, serial identity, speed, carrier, controls and target market. Separate an installed lift from a safety component. Provide design, component and test records and identify shaft/interface differences. Under 2014/33/EU the lift and component procedures differ; Türkiye’s 2014/33/AB route must be identified for its market.
Hypothetical example: the only supplied document is an overspeed-device certificate. It does not establish conformity of the completed lift. QRS can clarify the requested scope and required evidence, but no lift notification or periodic-inspection authority is asserted without the relevant current designation. The installer retains its declaration duties and the notified body performs the selected procedure. National maintenance and operating checks remain separate.
First confirm that the installation falls within the Lifts Directive: lifting appliances with a speed not greater than 0.15 m/s are excluded from its scope, but may have other product obligations. Article 15 addresses listed safety components; Article 16 sets the routes for installed lifts. The installer’s duties and the component manufacturer’s duties are different.
Record the lift identifier, rated load, speed, shaft, doors, control interfaces and installation address. Ask which assessment route covers the actual configuration and which party holds each design, examination and test record. A model-lift file can support a route only within its justified coverage; it does not automatically cover every shaft or door variation.
For the hypothetical overspeed-device certificate, list the component identity and then the missing whole-lift evidence separately. Agree who must supply design, installation and final-check records and which notified-body task remains open. A document index is a coordination output, not the installer’s EU declaration or a substitute for the required conformity decision.
The procedure, number of installations, location access, configuration differences and necessary testing affect work and timing. Separate placing-on-market assessment from maintenance and national periodic checks during use. A requested delivery date cannot guarantee a positive decision. Emergency derogations require their actual legal activation and conditions; ordinary projects cannot simply elect to bypass the route.
No. Check its component and model coverage, then identify the installed-lift route and whole-installation evidence separately. The installer remains responsible for the lift declaration.
Provide the installation and required task first. Confirm actual competence, any legally required designation and its scope before agreeing the activity; this page does not establish QRS appointment.

Send the installation identity, site, selected procedure if known, available records and open questions. Agree the actual task and competent party before arranging work.
