Food safety evidence may support hygiene and process controls. Sources, components and manufacturing conditions still require separate halal review. Neither assessment replaces the other. Clarify the applicable standard or programme and the body's relevant scope before application.
Connect manufacturer, facility, product name or code, scope and validity to the material purchased. A distributor's general letter may not identify the actual source. Read exclusions and use restrictions. Do not approve an input from the visible logo alone while important uncertainties remain.
Filtration agents, enzymes, release agents or other process inputs may affect assessment. The consumer label does not necessarily show every technical input. Explain relevant origins and uses. Restricting the review to a copied ingredient label can leave significant process information missing.
Review shared lines, storage, cleaning and material management as well as the recipe. Verify the new site's relationship to existing scope. Do not transfer the former facility's certificate to new production before assessment and logo permission are complete. Include these stages in start-up planning.
Suppliers, sources, components and certificate status can change over time. Compare actual purchases with the approved list. Check new inputs and evidence of earlier corrections. Extending a date alone does not establish that products continue to be made under the same conditions.
Match products, brands and facilities to the body's decisions and use conditions. Correct the claim and assess effects on goods already supplied. Certification of one product does not mean every company product is certified. Retain necessary notifications and corrective evidence.
