QRS QualityISO/IEC 17024 Training
In certification of persons, an examination result needs an appropriate scheme, reliable methods and a controlled decision process. Training should explain what each stage of the candidate file demonstrates.
Define the scope correctly
Can a certification scheme consist only of a question bank?
Define the intended role and competences, entry conditions, assessment method and certificate use conditions together. The question bank is one tool within that structure. Training should map the skills needed for the job to assessment criteria. A competence claim must not cover a skill that has not been assessed.
What should happen when two assessors give different scores for the same practical task?
Compare the clarity of the criteria, observation conditions and assessor methods. Averaging scores may leave the underlying inconsistency unresolved. Use a shared example to align interpretation and explain decision reasons. Training should record which candidate behaviour satisfies which competence criterion.
Does making arrangements for a disabled candidate make the examination easier?
Distinguish reducing an access barrier from changing the professional competence being measured. Consider the scheme, legal conditions and the candidate’s needs together. Arrangements should be consistent and justified. Training should discuss the limits of alternative methods that continue to assess the same competence fairly.
