Questions for your situation
Is a field immediately organic if we have never used pesticides?
Assess production history, application, controls and applicable conversion conditions. A declaration or single analysis is insufficient. Review the area and crops with an authorised control and certification body. Do not independently assume that a particular conversion period will be shortened.
Can organic and conventional production operate within the same business?
Assess the relevant legislation's permissions and separation conditions against the actual crops and business structure. Manage land, inputs, equipment, storage and identity to prevent mixing. Common ownership does not make every product organic. Verify applicable conditions before giving a universal yes or no.
Can fertiliser sold as natural automatically be used in organic production?
Examine its composition, production method and conformity with relevant organic rules. “Natural” marketing is insufficient acceptance evidence. Verify required approval and use conditions beforehand. Match technical information to the product actually purchased.
How should an organic claim be managed when contamination from neighbouring land is suspected?
Keep affected goods under appropriate control, notify the relevant body and investigate. Assess sources, records and necessary analyses together. A finding does not automatically prove intentional misuse, but unchanged status must not be assumed before review. Protective measures and sales decisions should follow applicable rules.
Is a Turkish organic certificate sufficient by itself for sales into the EU?
Check target-market recognition, control body, product and consignment documentation requirements separately. Domestic organic status does not automatically complete another market's import procedures. Verify the route with the buyer and authorised body before contracting. Coordinate documentation and controls with harvest and dispatch.
What evidence is needed when organic products are stored externally?
Maintain incoming identity, status, separation and dispatched quantities. Assess effects of other stored goods or activities. Verify how the external service relates to the relevant control scope. Producer records alone are insufficient; outgoing goods must remain traceable with the same identity and status.
