No. Products, customer relationships and manufacturing activities must be assessed against programme eligibility conditions. A trading or support-only location cannot simply be assumed eligible as an independent manufacturing site. Disclose product families, customers, production and support locations. A recognised body evaluates eligibility under current IATF rules.
Product design and manufacturing process design are different responsibilities. Flow, process risks, control plans and necessary verification may remain part of your manufacturing duties. A customer drawing defines the product but does not establish how to make it consistently. Document the distinction using contracts and actual decisions.
Assess customer-specific requirements and part approval expectations separately. Records, approvals and notifications may differ even for the same product or process. Map current customer requirements to the relevant product and site. System certification does not automatically replace part approval or commercial supplier acceptance.
New equipment, layout, operators, measurement systems and outsourced processes may affect results. Plan relocation risks, required verification and customer notification or approval together. Current IATF site and certification rules also apply. Copying the old file alone does not establish process capability at the new location.
Customer performance, special statuses and complaints are assessed under applicable IATF rules and customer requirements. Do not assume the same automatic consequence for every low score. Follow notification, root cause and corrective action duties. Share current adverse reports completely; concealing them leaves the assessment incomplete.
Verify the certification body's current IATF recognition separately. Distinguish training, preparation support and certification services. The offer should identify the legal entity conducting audits and making certification decisions. A general ISO webpage or accreditation in another scope does not establish IATF recognition.
