Questions for your situation
How should protection claims connect to testing?
Map each label, catalogue and instruction claim to performance criteria and evidence. Do not add unsupported claims in marketing. Assess protection level, limitations and category together. One successful test may not substantiate claims relating to several different risks.
Is initial sample examination sufficient for Category III PPE?
The applicable PPE procedure includes category-dependent production-stage assessment. Plan initial type examination separately from steps maintaining conformity of serial production. Verify the body's authority and selected procedure. A sample certificate does not establish completion of production follow-up.
How can an own-brand seller use a contract manufacturer's technical file?
Arrange access, product identification, production controls and change notification. Explain the connection between certificate scope and the marketed brand and model. Make responsibilities clear in the contract. Verify both technical and legal relationships before relying on another manufacturer's sample report.
What evidence supports washing-cycle or service-life claims?
Assess whether protection persists after the claimed maintenance cycles or use conditions. Instruction methods should match test conditions. Initial material performance does not demonstrate protection throughout the entire service life. Reconsider technical effects when maintenance instructions change.
Can adding a logo or print affect protective performance?
Printing, coatings, holes or stitched additions may change protected areas and material properties. Examine effects particularly for heat, flame, visibility or liquid-protection claims. Complete retesting is not automatic for every print, but a conclusion of no effect needs technical justification. Match the sold configuration to the assessed design.
Does a failed batch result affect only the tested sample?
Investigate batch boundaries, material sources, production periods and shared processes. Evidence is needed to distinguish isolated from systematic failure. Assess sales restrictions, withdrawal or user information according to risk and law. A subsequent passing sample does not remove the need to investigate the original nonconformity.
