Questions for your situation
Which record should be trusted if payroll and access-control data differ?
Investigate the reason rather than automatically accepting one source. Compare shifts, overtime, leave, payments and worker accounts. Records must not be altered to conceal actual conditions. Track remedies for pay or working-condition problems separately from improvements to the control system.
Can agency workers be excluded from audit preparation?
Make workforce status, roles and recruitment relationships visible. An agency contract does not remove review of conditions. Compare pay, hours, access to identity documents and complaint channels with practice. Do not arbitrarily limit scope to workers directly on the payroll.
How can reliable worker interviews be supported?
Workers should describe experience without pressure or fear of retaliation. Rehearsed responses or preselection intended to conceal problems undermine assessment. Address language and access needs and protect confidentiality. Consider interview evidence with records and observations while safeguarding the individuals involved.
Is showing a new procedure sufficient at follow-up?
Demonstrate implementation and improvement. For a pay finding, review later payments, corrections and worker feedback. Follow-up scope depends on programme rules and earlier findings. Plan practical implementation and evidence collection before setting a timetable based only on appointment availability.
Can the previous result be used unchanged after the factory relocates?
Compare new workforce, buildings, processes and management with the earlier audit. Clarify platform records and assessment steps under programme rules. An unchanged company name does not establish unchanged scope. Disclose current conditions and relocation when sharing the old report with customers.
Does a preparation report replace the formal BSCI audit?
Preparation can identify gaps but does not replace the audit and reporting process defined within amfori. Agreements should state scope, roles and outputs. Do not claim that consultancy issues a BSCI certificate or guarantees a particular customer-accepted rating.
