Discuss your scope

Scope and current rules

İyi Tarım Uygulamaları (İTU) is a separate Turkish control and certification system under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s legislation and instructions. It is not the same certificate as organic farming or GLOBALG.A.P. First identify products, production scope and applicable national requirements.

Activity information for the application

Apply to a ministry authorised control and certification body before production begins. Describe producers, plots, products and the production period. Assess previous land use, neighbouring activities and water sources; risks that cannot be controlled must be addressed at the initial decision stage.

Connect preparation to real production

Production records are essential. Connect fertiliser and plant protection applications, quantities, operators, irrigation and harvest. Determine analysis needs from the product, risks and current rules. A consultant’s preparation file does not replace the authorised body’s control.

Batch and operating evidence

A harvest batch should be traceable to its producer and plot. Check input application dates, quantities and relevant pre-harvest waiting information. Connect sample identity and report dates to the actual product; do not extend one plot’s analysis to every product without justification.

Continuity after the audit

Follow control findings, corrections and scope changes with the authorised body. Assess a new season, product or plot against the certificate’s existing scope. Labels and logo use follow ministry rules; an old certificate copy is not proof of current validity.

Timing and cost planning

Plan preparation around the production calendar, existing records and analysis needs. Separate consultancy, the authorised body’s control and certification services, and laboratory analyses. Subsidies or export acceptance cannot be guaranteed by a certificate alone; check each programme’s own requirements.

Scope discussion and responsibilities

For a scope discussion with QRS, share activities, addresses, products and customer requirements. Verify the selected scheme’s body approval and scope in the official register. Preparation, independent assessment and the certification decision are separate stages.
