ISO 22716:2007 — Define the manufacturing activities
ISO 22716:2007 gives cosmetic good-manufacturing-practice guidance for production, control, storage and shipment.
Define the manufacturing activities
ISO 22716:2007 gives cosmetic good-manufacturing-practice guidance for production, control, storage and shipment. Its scope is not a cosmetic ingredient approval or product-safety certificate; research and development and distribution of finished products are outside that guidance scope. Define actual manufacturing and contract-site activities before discussing assessment. ISO publishes the standard and does not issue your certificate.
Worked case: label and batch identity mismatch
In a hypothetical filling operation, a bulk batch is released for one formula while line labels identify another variant. Reconcile bulk, filling order, container labels, packaging and batch records before release under the site’s responsibilities. Quarantine or correction decisions need the actual records and authorised site roles; a signed GMP policy does not explain which finished units were filled or shipped.
Prepare responsibilities and traceable operations
For an initial discussion provide actual production/control/storage/shipment scope, sites, process flow, responsibilities, batch and material records, change history and known deviations. Separate implementation work and any independent assessment charges. Check the actual assessor and claimed scope; management-system accreditation does not establish every product-programme authority. GMP does not replace applicable safety assessment, notification or market duties, and no fee or decision date is guaranteed.
