Questions for your situation
What should be corrected when the technical description conflicts with the sales brochure?
Establish actual design and assessed scope first. Correct unsupported performance or use claims; assess a technical change if the actual product differs from the file. Making the texts merely look alike is insufficient. Product, evidence and customer information should describe consistent boundaries.
What determines whether an existing test report can be used?
Compare method, sample, version and use with the planned assessment. Explain the report holder and the basis for using its evidence. A similar product is not automatically equivalent. Suitable reports can reduce repeat work, while missing characteristics need additional study.
How should authority to issue national technical approval be checked?
Verify current official designation and product area. A laboratory, consultant or another certification provider does not automatically hold the same role. The offer should identify who issues approval and who is responsible for other assessment outputs separately.
How does sourcing a critical material from two suppliers affect the file?
Define each source's effects and acceptance criteria. Do not leave equivalence to supplier catalogues alone; provide necessary tests and production evidence. Establish tracking and notification. Initial assessment of two sources does not automatically include every later supplier.
Can different climate or installation conditions require extended scope?
Examine assessed temperature, moisture, substrate and fixing limits. A new performance need may require further evidence. Positive experience at another site does not verify every characteristic. Instructions and claims must remain within accepted boundaries.
How should an old file be managed after its technical basis changes?
Review effects on assessment and validity with the relevant body. Connect old and new file versions to production dates. Plan revisions, tests and declarations. An ongoing transition review does not automatically extend scope or invalidate every product.
