Compare product function, materials, characteristics and intended use with the standard's scope. Similar names do not guarantee coverage of every variant. Clarify uncertainties with TSE. Incorrect selection may lead to unnecessary testing or leave a critical characteristic unassessed.
Identify sample model, materials and manufacturing conditions. Serial-production controls and records should correspond to that design. A specially prepared successful sample does not represent products manufactured differently. Change and nonconforming-product controls help preserve the connection.
Show the relationship between the brand, applicant and manufacturing site. Arrange access to production information and assessment. Verify the TSE programme's application and scope conditions. Naming the seller does not justify leaving the actual factory or control responsibilities unclear.
Distinguish commercial renaming from technical model changes. Unchanged design and production may require evidence connecting the names; technical differences may need further assessment. TSE records, labels and sales documents should identify the same product. Marketing terminology alone does not determine the procedure.
Check current certificate status, product scope, factory and marking conditions. An application or completed test alone does not establish permission. Reflect suspension, cancellation and scope changes in sales materials. A general company certificate must not be applied to every product.
Identify separate and combined effects. Plan material acceptance, process settings and necessary performance tests. Preserve evidence allowing causes to be distinguished. Determine TSE notification and additional review needs before carrying old inspection results over to changed production.
