Questions for your situation
What should be examined when the SLA report is green but customers complain?
Review indicator definitions, measurement intervals and excluded periods. A report may measure server availability while users cannot access the application. Connect complaints to the service and incident records and assess whether targets represent customer needs. A favourable percentage may conceal weaknesses in measurement design.
Does an actual service missing from the catalogue affect audit scope?
Explain differences between services delivered and the declared scope. Sample contracts, requests and operating records to establish customers and resources. Do not include excluded services in certification claims. A continuously delivered new service should also be assessed as a change affecting the management system.
What is expected when a subcontractor's commitment cannot support the customer SLA?
Identify the gap and show how it is managed. Consider backup capacity, different support arrangements or revised contracts. Writing a shorter customer target does not increase actual capability. Make uncontrolled dependencies explicit in risk decisions and customer communications.
How can the cause of an incident following a change be traced?
Compare the request, risk assessment, approval, implemented version and result with the incident timeline. Examine rollback feasibility and service effects. Record learning from a failed change even after service is restored. Records may reside in different tools, provided their connections remain traceable.
Are an asset list and service configuration information equivalent?
An asset list identifies items owned or used. Service management also needs relationships showing which items support which services. A server serial number alone does not identify customers affected by failure. Choose detail according to service risk and control needs, and keep information current with actual changes.
Is the same transfer application sufficient if service scope has changed?
Review previous certificate validity separately from the requested new scope. Disclose services, sites and providers added since the last audit. Do not assume old reports cover new services. Coordinate transfer review, change assessment and any additional audit; quotation and decision timing depend on accurate information.
