Assessment should make excluded uses and variants clear as well as describe the product. Technical assessment body tasks must remain distinct from other conformity responsibilities.
Define components, geometry, formulations or material variables and use conditions. Include installation systems where they affect performance. A commercial catalogue does not replace technical boundaries. Explain the common basis for family variants before testing begins.
Check official technical assessment body status and the relevant product area. General quality certification is not that designation. Verify roles for production-control certification and testing separately. Each service in a combined agreement should have a clear authority basis and output.
Protect confidentiality through appropriate access and agreements, but do not leave essential assessment evidence entirely unknown. Production controls, critical variables and notifications must be verifiable. Clarify applicant and manufacturer duties. Confidentiality does not justify omitting assessment of product representation.
Consider the applicable technical basis and characteristics required for that use together. Do not promise unevaluated performance. Explain effects of undeclared characteristics on use decisions. Compare any values required by the project or national construction rules separately.
Substrates, fixings, fire or moisture conditions may affect results. Check ETA application boundaries and determine further evidence for the new arrangement. Successful field use alone does not prove every characteristic. Instructions, declarations and technical files should describe the same application.
Plan changed scope, testing and production-control assessment as distinct work items. Keep batches made under old and new versions traceable. Determine which declaration applies during transition. Submitting a revision request does not establish acceptance of the new scope.
