Questions for your situation
Which information connects the installed lift to its technical file?
Compare load, speed, stops, car and shaft information with controls and safety components. Explain outdated drawing revisions or substituted parts. Link final installation tests to the actual lift. Belonging to the same product family alone does not establish exact correspondence on site.
Why clarify duties between the lift installer and building owner?
Shafts, access, environmental conditions and safe-use interfaces may involve several parties. Identify information providers and responsibility for completing deficiencies beforehand. Task allocation must not leave safety conditions unassessed. Contracts and the technical file should describe consistent boundaries.
How should a safety component's certificate be checked?
Match type, model, technical ratings and certificate scope to the installed component. Check the relevant notified body's scope and certificate status. A shared manufacturer name is insufficient if the document covers another model or performance. Verify installation against component use conditions separately.
Can every final-inspection finding be closed with photographs?
Evidence depends on the finding. Photographs may support some physical corrections, while function or safety performance may need retesting or another site visit. Closure follows the applicable assessment procedure. Sending photographs alone does not establish that every nonconformity has been resolved.
How do deviations from the assessed type affect scheduling?
Assess effects on design, performance and the conformity procedure. Additional technical information, updated drawings or body review may be needed. Report changes before the final appointment. Early disclosure allows necessary assessment steps and possible return visits to be planned accurately.
Does modernising an old lift automatically require the new-lift procedure?
Examine the work and applicable national in-use and product rules. Component replacement, extensive modernisation and a new installation are not automatically the same category. Clarify the report's purpose and competent party first. Previous CE documentation or periodic results do not resolve the new change's effects.
How is assessment combined when the car and control system come from different suppliers?
Match component characteristics with the installed lift's design and safety functions. Assess interfaces, compatibility and installation conditions. Separate component certificates do not replace the completed lift's required assessment. Identify responsibility for integration and final verification in the file.
