Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) assesses responsible practices in primary production.

Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) assesses responsible practices in primary production.
Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) assesses responsible practices in primary production. For fruit and vegetables, IFA Version 6 Smart and GFS are two valid editions. GFS matters where a buyer requires GFSI recognition; select the edition against actual customer needs.
Identify the producer, products, plots, area and product handling steps in the application. Individual producers and producer groups do not necessarily have the same control arrangements. Confirm edition and scope with an approved certification body; Turkish İTU certification does not automatically replace IFA.
Preparation considers food safety and traceability alongside the environment and workers’ health, safety and welfare. Irrigation sources, plant protection applications and harvest identity are practical evidence examples. Assess buyer requested add-ons separately from the basic IFA scope.
For a scope discussion with QRS, share activities, addresses, products and customer requirements. Verify the selected scheme’s body approval and scope in the official register. Preparation, independent assessment and the certification decision are separate stages.
