SABER Saudi Arabia: define the product and shipment scope
Identify the importer, models and evidence before requesting conformity assessment and shipment approval.

Identify the importer, models and evidence before requesting conformity assessment and shipment approval.
Discuss your scopeIdentify the Saudi importer, actual product, HS classification, technical regulation and any additional licence. The regulated commercial-product route uses an accepted conformity assessment body to review models and technical evidence in SABER; non-regulated products can follow an importer self-declaration route. A supplier’s existing certificate must be checked against the actual importer and model coverage rather than assumed transferable.
Prepare invoices, selected models, quantities and shipping country for the separate shipment request. Regulated goods require the relevant body’s approval. Example: two distributors import the same model; verify each importer’s actual records rather than copying one distributor’s shipment certificate. QRS can clarify the service request and coordinate suitable evidence review, but no SASO acceptance or certificate-issuing authority is asserted here. The importer and accepted body retain their respective responsibilities.
